Fishing Rod
A plain rod obtained on Island 2, used through the rest of the game. Only the bait tier changes on later islands. Can have cosmetic skins.

A gameplay video reports rod skins can be won from the Reel of Fortune gambling minigame, and changed with the C key. Not to be confused with the Crab Fishing Rod, the earlier Island 1 rod this replaces. Two independent fish-list sources (Game8, Destructoid) confirm this same rod is used for every fish from Island 2 through Island 5: progression is driven entirely by bait tier (Beginner → Standard → Professional → Scientific Lure), not by upgrading the rod itself.
